How to enter

The Hadleigh Cross Country race is one of six events that form the 53-12 Cross Country League and are staged annually between October and March. To enter the race you must be a member of one of the clubs in the 53-12 Cross Country League. There is a Junior and Senior race at each cross country event.

The Juniors fun run is approximately 1 mile long, starts at 10.00am and is divided into the following age groups: under 11 (8-10), under 13 (11-12), under 17 13-16). The Junior entry fee is £1 per runner. Club colours must be worn.

The senior race is staged over a 5 mile multi-terrain course and trail shoes or spikes are recommended depending on the course conditions. The Senior race starts at 10.45am and has an entry fee of £3.00 per runner. Club colours must be worn.

The cross country is an untimed team event. The positions in which runners finish are used to give each team a points total which in turn determines where they finish in the league.

To enter the race please contact your club cross country captain who is responsible for organising the team, ensuring the entry fees are paid, collating the results for the team and delivering them to our race results team so that the overall results can be determnined as soon as possible after the race has finished. Hadleigh Hares members should contact either the Mens Cross Country Captain: Matt Hunter or the Ladies Cross Country Captain: Trudy Avis.

More information of the league is available at www.53-12xc.com.
